Our Infant Care Philosophy at LPE
At Le Petit Elephant Nursery and Preschool, one of the guiding philosophies in our classrooms is RIE® (Resources for Infant Educarers). Developed by Magda Gerber, the RIE approach is rooted in the belief that even the youngest children deserve to be treated with the same respect we offer adults. Children thrive when they are given space to explore, opportunities to engage meaningfully, and consistent environments where they feel safe and understood.

At Le Petit Elephant Nursery and Preschool, we see biting not as “misbehavior,” but as a natural, developmentally appropriate stage of growth that young children eventually outgrow with the right support.
